Linda’s Burgers

Linda’s preferred hamburger recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb 80% lean ground beef
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs or crushed saltine crackers
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Mix by hand until mixture is smooth.
  2. Divide into 6 thick patties or 12 thin patties.
  3. Shape patties by hand, slightly larger than the buns you plan to use. Use a spoon or thumb to press a dent in the center of each patty.
  4. Preheat the grill or a skillet to medium heat. (Approximately 350-400°F.)
  5. Cook patties:
    • For thick patties: Grill or fry the patties for 3-4 minutes per side.
    • For thin patties: Cook on the griddle for 2 minutes per side.
  6. Serve.
