Linda’s Burgers
Linda’s preferred hamburger recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 lb 80% lean ground beef
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs or crushed saltine crackers
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Mix by hand until mixture is smooth.
- Divide into 6 thick patties or 12 thin patties.
- Shape patties by hand, slightly larger than the buns you plan to use. Use a spoon or thumb to press a dent in the center of each patty.
- Preheat the grill or a skillet to medium heat. (Approximately 350-400°F.)
- Cook patties:
- For thick patties: Grill or fry the patties for 3-4 minutes per side.
- For thin patties: Cook on the griddle for 2 minutes per side.
- Serve.
